“Excellent, generous interviews. Superbly produced and presented. The show doesn’t glamorize investigations. It stays true to the legwork and sheer determination that every now and again produce important breakthroughs. In past decades, you could pick up this kind of invaluable knowledge through conversations with more experienced colleagues in pubs, but with journalism becoming so fragmented that’s more difficult. This podcast serves as a useful replacement. Especially episodes like the first where it’s partially a ‘how not to’ story (and all the more interesting for being so).
However—and I know it might be impossible to achieve on a shoestring budget—it might be worth using more than just the one music track. What is being used is not always appropriate to some of the stories and even undermines some of them in places.”
