Titanium is pure gold
"The Titanium Physicists" has the warmth and informality of a great dinner party conversation hosted by "Science....sort of" MVP Ben Tippit. Around the virtual table are two doctoral/post-doc specialists and the audience stand-in, a non-technical. curious and creative layman. The result is a winning combination of humor and enlightenment, translating mathematics to metaphor, illuminating without diminishing the daunting complexities of cutting-edge physics. The growing list of topics ranges from exploring the crushing dynamics of collapsed stars to the quest to understand dark matter and dark energy to a singular project listening for the whisper of neutrinos deep in the Antarctic ice. The discussions are clear and clever, illuminating the borders of knowledge and hinting at the shadowed mysteries beyond. There are few better ways to invest an hour of consciousness.Read full review »
