In my opinion the best host for this kind of stuff. On point with the serious subjects, but never one to let a good pun go amiss; Jimbo and his guests great coverage means I don’t need to even watch football anymore.

I look forward to every pod. It’s fun, light hearted yet insightful into what is becoming the deep void of football and what it’s future looks like. I love it’s international perspective which gives me a a taste for the other Muddy Knees Pods Jimbo for PM or maybe the PMs advisor!!

Excellent podcast! I am a keen listener despite there being no football, so they must be doing something right.

I will follow Jimbo to the ends of the earth.

Big fan of the quiz and retro champions league/premier league reviews during lockdown, and when football’s back am sure the usual mix of great overview of the key stories across leagues, insightful insight from pundits as to what’s interesting about going ons/tactics/performances, and AC Jimbo...Read full review »

Great listen with the Euro podcast consistently fantastic. The guests being far superior than the domestic edition

This is the best frequent football pod that covers current issues, nostalgic moments and the international football world! What more could you want.... A perfect companion for exercise, a boring commute or a prolonged quarantine ;)

Every time I read Matt Davies Forest Adams in the synopsis, I instantly delete. Such an infuriating man to listen to.

A football podcast hosted by AC Jimbo of course it’s great
Owen Dawson Chester Uni via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 05/02/20
The best bits of totally - James, a rotating cast of excellent contributors - with a silly yet captivating quiz and plenty of 90s football. Like quickly Kevin, I’ve been doubling down in lockdown. Keep up the good work guys, and hopefully the advertising market bounces back soon!

5 stars whenever James Horncastle is in studio. 1 star whenever Michael Cox is in to dampen the mood.

Hey guys I’m a big fan of the show but I haven’t made it past 5 minutes in the last month. It’s obviously not your fault but it’s getting pretty bad. Save your dignity and just grow some dank this summer and resume when football does. I know everyone has a family to feed and needs a source of...Read full review »

Once they split from football weekly of course I followed. However, recently, all you need to do is listen to the Europe pod with all the top guys. Their domestic shows (Monday and Thursday) suffer from nerd pundits dumb stats. Someone like Michael Cox deserves better people to bounce off of.
JoseangelB via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/19/20
Steered by Jimbo and his array of world class regular contributors, as well as the best emerging, young talent, this pod manages to stay fresh and innovative even through these troubled times with no football
lucascashbeast via Apple Podcasts · Norway · 04/19/20
Without a doubt the best football podcast ever. Jimbo with his great music taste, quick wit and excellent guest with impressive world wide footballing knowledge make this a pleasure to listen too.

Best podcast out there if you love football, a bit of nostalgia and incredibly insightful experts. Amazing

While I appreciate that chapters were added in the show notes, you could just as well incorporate them in the podcast itself so listeners can simply press a button to skip to the next chapter. It's not difficult, most podcasts have already done this. Unfortunately I have to repeat the clear...Read full review »

Simply the best UK based football pod, by far. (Only Second Captains, Irish, on football is as good...or possibly better, heresy I know.) The Jimbo/Honigstein bromance is beautiful, real and dare I say, sweet. No wonder Glendenning is so bitter.

Just perfect football chat, cheers

A brilliant podcast even at the moment they’re finding ways to make the pod interesting. A good collection of pundits and wonderfully anchored by Jimbo aka James Richardson of Football Italia 90’s fame

A brilliant pod! Jimbo is awesome! The Tuesday European edition is definitely the best! Keep up the great work !

Just wanted to say it’s a great show, I like the analysis and the fact it doesn’t take it’s self too seriously. Jimbo is a legend!!

AC Jimbo is the GOAT and has a massive cult following. We lost one perfect podcast in 2017 but in return we got 2 slightly less than perfect but still world class podcasts in return. It's a fair tradeoffRead full review »

This is by far the best quality football podcast out their. Other have more episodes, however this pod cast gives better insight and opinions. James is a witty and engulfing host.

The best host (James should be on TV more), best panel and essential listening for any football fan who has their head in the right place

James is consistently good as the host. Continental version is my favourite of all the weekly podcasts that I listen to. The various experts are excellent
BC57MC66 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 03/05/20
The European version is good, Rafa and James Horncastle are two of the best football journalists about, James is still a great presenter. The problem is that the main show is full of half-journos who don’t know much about what they are on about (Carl W. Anka and Pat ‘Me’ Nevin) are...Read full review »

I know it’s what selling at the mo but while the same crew with their LFC fan producer seemed to be able to reign it in when at the Guardian, they have slowly degenerated since the split into seemingly having a cast of LFC fans dominating the show Jimbo seems jaded by it all at this point, I...Read full review »

I’ve been a long time listener of the TFS and Football Weekly previously. I think the pod has gone downhill since they split it into two. The podcast is largely good, with the Tuesday European edition particularly enjoyable, but if you took presenter James Richardson out I probably wouldn’t listen. As an aside, Carl Anka comes across as a total twerp. Does anyone know if he thinks Man Utd should get a Director of Football...?
Gazarelda via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 02/18/20
I love Jimbo as a host and find him really entertaining but I don’t find any of the other guests here tolerable anymore, particularly that guy whose analysis consists of reciting pointless statistics ad nauseum. How he has he managed to launch a career in a football-related industry is beyond me.
Glissendorf via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 02/14/20
Carried over from The Guardian but while that podcast retains the same joyful rhythm this iteration with Jimbo seems like the arrogant version of better days. Love the podcast, classy, witty James and all the contributors except Mr Preece and Mr Anker (sp?). This latter comes across as arrogant, know-it-all, inarticulate and totally lacking in subtlety and nuance. The former is just a bit too dull. Apart from that, keep up the good work.
