“As an ‘official’ fan cast it feels deliberately hampered. Treating obviously stated elements as mysteries or missing them entirely. Ignoring pretty directly shown elements as absent. (Episode 2 - gee what are they digging at the site? Uh didn’t they show a glow ship?)
Kinda shows that sometimes access isn’t worth it. Listen for the principle interviews if you enjoy that but the commentary seems painfully held back.

“Who hired these hosts? Vapid, irritating, shallow commentary. I’ve loved HBO’s accompanying podcasts to their others shows (Chernobyl is a standout) but this one isn’t up to par.
