This show is fun and has interesting characters. The plot twists genuinely surprised me and it was interesting. Lowkey has the vibe of a young adult novel but that’s ok. Sometimes that’s what you need

What if you came across a van traveling across the country with a three teenagers who all had superpowers? What if their "parent" was someone with a short fuse who doesn't really seem to care that much for them? How are they getting food? Paying for stuff? Where are they going? The...Read full review »

The Van is just beautiful in every way, tugging at your heart. They're kids with super powers, but also kids struggling to survive, with the problems and complex emotions of childhood. The show is a marriage of neglect and poetry and survival. There is something raw in each character,...Read full review »

Love this show just wish episodes were closer together because by the time a new episode comes on all is forgotten. Production and story is brilliant. Characters are well developed and cast is, for the most part, good. Cola and Nova are the more complex characters and together with Scotch they...Read full review »

This is a brilliant story about a group of kids with special powers who have to keep moving to avoid detection. There are many layers to this story and it is brilliantly executed

Every episode of The Van pulls me in deeper - you start with a group of kids squabbling in a van and you wind up caring about every one, about the people left behind, even about the antagonists. The powers are an integral part of the story, but they never take over the story - it's still...Read full review »

I’m constantly impressed by the perceptiveness of the character work, the lyricism of the descriptions, the seamless transition from narration to dialogue and back, and the cool and interesting uses of superpowers that don’t feel like they’ve been cribbed from other media. Keep doing what you do.

I thought I already wrote a review? I messed up. I’m a huge sucker for traveling, made-up names, and superpowers, but personal weaknesses aside, The Van is fantastic. Right off the bat the characters already feel concrete. I’ve had problems with podcasts before where it takes me forever to...Read full review »

As I’m writing this only the first two episodes are available. However, even over the course of two episodes the world of the Van already feels tangible, familiar, and close to reality. Who knew that superpowers and poetry paired so well together, particularly against the backdrop of the...Read full review »
