“Hey! I was just listening to your second episode, and you said you didn't have any reviews so i thought I'd leave one! haha.
I quite enjoyed the podcast actually. Discovered Mexie's YT channel a couple of months ago, and the content was quite educational so I decided to check out the podcast as well, and I quite enjoyed it!
I was quite pleasantly surprised by the content, since Mexie understands the core of Indic philosophies quite well (in this case, Buddhism specifically), and in many ways it's been similar to my own experiences with Hinduism. I was born in a Hindu family however, so I was exposed to these philosophies ever since i was a kid, but only really started taking an interest around the time I turned 20. Hinduism unfortunately has a had a lot of organised religious stuff built around its core over the past 3500 years, so it was something I had mostly ignored for most of my life. Core philosophies are vast and trippy though, and Buddhism has a lot of overlap with various Hindu schools of thought (especially the Mayavaadi philosophy) - but it's been a fun trip exploring them so far.
I think this is a discussion best had in more private channels, and I have a lot to say lol.
Anyway, hope I'll be able to write to you more at length through social media or something (although I'm super lazy when it comes to using Facebook!).
Cheers, looking forward to listening to other episodes!”Read full review »
