“I don’t normally post internet criticism — there’s enough negativity out there already. However, this is the mechanism to provide feedback where Nilay and cohosts might see it so here goes. This was once my favorite podcast, until they hired Alex Cranz. Now she’s all over every episode, edging out the other hosts that have something to contribute. For the record, this has nothing to do with gender (the other women on the show are great). I’ll give some specifics to illustrate my perspective: * Alex doesn’t seem to be informed about the topics being discussed. * That might be fine if she asked insightful questions, but she doesn’t. It seems like she doesn’t understand the industry that well. There was a moment in the March 4, 2022 episode when Loren Grush (who is great) was completely befuddled by Alex’s question. This happens all the time. * Most of her contributions are poor attempts at humor. * She talks over the other hosts quite a lot (most of which is filler “humor”). Please, PLEASE give her less air time. I’m not saying she needs to be removed from the show, but does she need to be on every segment of every episode? I can’t take it any more.”
