“The addition of Alex to the show is good as in it adds a female voice.
But it is bad in every other way.
Alex says things like- “if you buy this laptop, you’re DUMB.” and “X feature is …DUMB.” There are moments where I think that Alex is not paying attention to the conversation and is trying to be comic relief. Other staff members wonder what she’s talking about.
Vergecast has always been organically funny, but it is teetering on awkward.
I’m sure she’s intelligent, probably a cool person, but the insulting comments and annoying persona that I get on vergecast just makes me want to write— This. Exact. Review.
