Meaningful discussion is scarce - The Verge has a lot of insightful reporters, and when they have the opportunity share their insights on this show they are often valuable and worthwhile - but the show puts too heavy an emphasis on jokes and quips which feel increasingly ingenuine and forced. Jokes and a lighter sense of tone can be nice, but not incessantly and relentlessly for every single topic. It’s not necessarily an issue with the show’s new format because this change has been creeping up for a while, and some of the recent changes have been positive - the change from weekly to twice-weekly is nice - but please turn your focus back to reporting and leave the constant jokes for others.
