“Testing out new film podcasts, and had to turn this off 15 minutes into the episode discussing Dunkirk when the podcast hosts started gushing about the heroism in a scene where the characters carry a wounded soldier onto a ship, failing to realize that the point of the subplot in the movie was that 1) the characters were in fact falsely posing as stretcher bearers as an excuse to jump the queue and get home faster and 2) inadvertently causes the wounded soldier’s death by drowning. I really wanted to like this podcast, but it was difficult taking the hosts seriously when they’d gotten a very, very basic and cynical plot point wrong.”
