Lots of filler, little substance
Each episode is roughly 25 minutes, the vast majority of which is dedicated to audio that has been made available to the public and is commonly used in documentaries and media coverage of the case. I don't understand this choice in the context of a serial true crime podcast. If you as a listener are interested in hearing these law enforcement interviews and viewing bodycam footage in full, I recommend looking them up on YouTube rather than waiting a full week in between small snippets. Everything in this podcast is available in full online, usually with a visual component as well. The remaining audio (the podcaster's voice) is essentially just summary of what we just heard. It seems that the podcast creators are so afraid of making a claim/forming a stance that essentially none is made, leading to its biggest flaw: there's no analysis, just obvious statement of facts. This is confusing, because its description is "facts and the motives explained—in depth." I understand there is a fear of being sued, but it is possible to analyze and make assertions without accusing. I'm asking the same questions, have come to my own conclusions and I'd like someone else's opinion/analysis. That's why I listen to true crime podcasts. With that being said, I'm hoping that this podcast is just trying to gain its footing because it is good quality and has a lot of potential. I will give it another few episodes in hopes that it gets some more "meat" and less fluff.Read full review »

Couldn’t even get past the 2nd episode. A lot of reviews mention problems with the host’s personal narrative, but that’s honestly neither here nor there for me; this case sparks strong reactions and opinions in people and I like hearing different perspectives, regardless of whether or not I agree...Read full review »

I stumbled onto this podcast and absolutely love it. The narrator does an excellent job retelling the case step by step. His knowledge about the case is the best you will find. Professionally done and keeps you listening. Jason
