Simply eye opening
I grew up hearing Craig’s story, but the idea of voluntourism never sat right with me. I never knew how much more to the story than just the saviour complex these privileged kids got there was. Deeply eye opening, well researched and explained, this podcast tells the story of one white child’s good faith idea, and how it morphed into a global enterprise so sinister, it is now unrecognizable.

Am I the only one starting to feel uncomfortable with the casual use of the word cult? Like now charities are cults? Remember when cults were Jerry Jones murdering all of his followers?

Learned more about the WE organization in two episodes than I did in the reporting on the conflict of interest scandal. Maybe a little too much Jesse Brown for my taste. But I’m looking forward to the upcoming episodes.

I am so tired of this story and no I am not going to listen to it. We Charity is over. Sorry Jesse but its time to move on with your life.
