Brilliant and a much needed approach to controversy
Could not say enough good things about this excellent podcast exploring the rift between JK Rowling and some of the folks involved in the trans rights movement. Conversations like this may help us find our best way toward the protection of human rights, safety and dignity for all people. And the approach provides a model that could potentially be adapted to other crucially important and controversial topics - promoting civility and empathy and informed analysis. No matter what your background is - or what you think you may know about the different sides of this debate - you will learn something from this coverage. The show does a spectacular job of situating the current controversy in the course of historical events - paying attention to what was happening with politics, religion, world events and emerging technologies as the subject of the narrative unfolds. Also — Phelps-Roper has an amazing voice - made for podcast/radio, and the mixing/editing of the show as well as sound track are fabulous.
