I’m a non-fiction writer. There are good ideas here. The host thinks and processes out loud so maybe listen on 1.5-2X. Otherwise, excellent.

I am a new listener but have gone through all of the available episodes and have to say that in my opinion this podcast was wonderful in the earlier episodes when it was more like a conversation between two people about the subject instead of a sermon being preached by one person.

I’m a new listener and consider this podcast a serendipitous discovery. Using submitted works as teaching tools feels like I’m sitting in a classroom. The few episodes I’ve heard helped me tweak my manuscript with confidence. You’ve earned a new fan.

Listening to the editor suggestions after the read through is incredibly useful. It gives the listeners practice in identifying problems by noting if their own edits do or do not match the hosts critiques.

I’ve been listening to Leslie and Clark since the podcast’s infancy and have yet to miss an episode. The quality if the advice is the best I have heard with easy to follow instructions on strengthening your manuscript and improving self-editing techniques. The real gem, however, is the website...Read full review »

This is one of the most immediately useful podcasts out there. The hosts address common grammar, punctuation, and formatting mistakes. They are informative without being pedantic. They also address higher level issues like character development and the use of trademarked names in your writing. ...Read full review »

I love the variety of genres represented, it speaks to their professionalism and love of the written word. Editing is not my strong suit, I'd much rather craft the story and turn it over to someone else for fine-tuning, otherwise I edit the life out of my work. The only thing I'd change...Read full review »

This is an incredibly informative and useful podcast, but please figure out a way to equalize/master the volume between each of the hosts. Far too often one of the hosts is far louder than the other and it makes listening difficult.

I really wanted to like this as it's hard to find podcasts on fiction writing rather than screenwriting but I just couldn't listen. It felt very amateurish, the presenters seem to spend a lot of time saying "ummm" and "uhhh" and generally sounding like they haven't...Read full review »

I have been looking for a podcast that addresses the writing craft, as opposed to marketing, and this one is excellent. Two editors read five pages of someone's story; then evaluate it in detail, both structurally and grammatically.Read full review »
