Game changer for a dad and coach- you have to start here
I started listening to this podcast randomly almost one year ago. I'm 35 with three sons and my oldest (almost 9 at the time) was about to start his first year of rec ball kid pitch. I played travel ball from 12-18, varsity baseball, lessons from former professionals and the opportunity to play at the D3 level but chose not to. I wanted my son to have the choice, as I did, and the opportunity to learn great life lessons. As we started working together it was around the same time I started to listen to this podcast and every week I would realize there was something I was tracing wrong (gator hand, knob to the ball, level swing, etc) and I almost had to time our trainings based on the topic because eventually I became scared to even instruct him without fully reading up on today's new age training and instruction. It's been a year and he's started playing travel ball (not super competitive and all encompassing) has shown a passion for the game and it's been in large part to the instructional methods and tips and tools I've learned here in addition to the psychological side that's perhaps been even more valuable. Baseball is so hard for a kid because it takes so much work and there is so much failure yet the life lessons are limitless. Thanks Rob for this podcast and for changing our families baseball trajectory, keep them coming.Read full review »

Wish there was a little more on putting together a practice, but perhaps soon. The mental parts of the game are great stuff.
