Good intergenerational discussion
The biggest takeaway I had here was not about the topic of discussion but the needs of Indian American children to experience emotional support and emotional intelligence from their Indian parents. The children have expectations based on their American upbringing and the parents may not have had similar training or experiences in India. It’s good that you, parents, are opening up this dialogue with your children to close this gap. Never too late to do so.

Comedy gold. This is relatable humour for South Asians, good family fun discussing things we don’t see discussed openly often enough!

This is what Desi families need to hear. Times have changed and parenting needs to evolve as well. Zarna demonstrates the importance of open dialogue and honest communication channel with kids. Need of the hour!
