This podcast is a must for all Black people. Factual, educational, easy to understand and at times, laugh out loud funny! I can’t believe myself at times laughing out loud at those quirky blackness jokes. Thank God for Harriot, the new freedom fighter!

This brother is the history professor I wish I had. He has a clever way of incorporating humor while fearlessly uncovering the painful truths of America’s history with racism. A must-listen for anyone seeking enlightenment and understanding.

What a thrill to get to hear Michael Harriott talk that talk. He is so smart, humorous, and unapologetic about who he is and from whom he comes.

Top notch! History for all to know

Wow! What a breakdown of how capitalism never truly existed in its true form in America. This is the history they are trying to erase- not black history! The history of the created thing called “whiteness” and its subsequent exploitation. Good work!

I’ve read many, many articles by Mr. Harriot on The Grio. I also had the pleasure of hearing him on Larry Wilmore’s podcast. I was thrilled to see Michael had one! I’ll be tuning in regularly!! Keep teaching King 👑!!

As a white person, I try to educate myself on the history of blacks, so that when I speak for equality, I speak from a place of enlightenment. I understand the anger, but this goes beyond what is acceptable. This dullard seems to lack the concept of equality by elevating everyone. Every...Read full review »

Can you please make each episode longer and more in depth. Like the ep on Black Music, it would be great to give more examples of each and maybe a background of each. I only ask because I could listen to this everyday.

He’s the teacher I’ve always wanted. He doesn’t over intellectualize these topics. He makes it real, provide new ways of thinking and makes it make sense!

I love this podcast. One of the few I listen to at regular speed. Mr Harriott is insightful, short and sweet. Not a wonky talking head. He packs a lot into a 15 minute segment. David in Darlington SC

Michael’s knowledge drops are the straight no chaser history lessons/reminders missing from the discourse on black people, black community, etc. Thank you so very much and let’s keep this going!!!!!

There was a Michael Harriot-shaped hole in my life after he left The Root — then a random retweet that I came across mentioned this new podcast. Really happy to have regular access to his insightful commentary again!

I was really excited to find this podcast. What I’ve heard so far has been excellent, educational, and engaging. What’s up with the intermittent sound that I think is the host breathing into the microphone though?

I was first introduced to Michael Harriot via his threads regarding the history of racial issues in this country. This podcast picks up where those leave off. I’m thoroughly informed and entertained by both!! You need this podcast in your life!!
