These guys do make, as they say, wild proclamations. But they also entertain, and their enthusiasm can be infectious. Loved the Little Feat episode and am looking forward to hearing their thoughts on Bob Marley.

I love these guys. Love this podcast. From the historical perspective to the commentary on the music to the trivia to the amazing editing to how Waldron and Bill play off each other. Top notch. I started with the Who Podcast and can’t wait to hear more.

“I hear good things!” Strongly recommend without hesitation. Excellent rapport between the hosts with a mix of music education and chortling. - Co-host Bill

Excellent the discussion about Pink Floyd, Animals; lots of insights into just how they made the music. Animals te mains a mystery, but less so after listening with Bill and Waldron.

Their Very Best is an exquisite and surely timeless pinnacle of music podcasting. I leave every episode seeing the world with newfound wonder and joy and I would even go as far as to say my music taste has improved dramatically. This should be a must-listen for anyone who thinks of themself as a...Read full review »

My dad is making me write this review or else he will cut my cell plan. This podcast, is quite literally, art in sound. If this podcast were visual, France and America would go to WAR, just to have it in their art galleries. If this podcast were touch, it would feel like the softest substance in...Read full review »

Listening to their very best has pretty much changed my life. Before I became a regular listener, I never left my home and was very sad. Now, listening to the podcast has given me the confidence to go out in the world, and I can happily say that I am now a billionaire with 5 Porsches, 2 Bugattis,...Read full review »

Their very best is the best! I love listening to this podcast and learning about music!

These two guys are amazing. Almost always a song playing, they keep me interested in new music by pointing out details and nuances I never would notice myself, (about high hats, synths,… insert lingo that I never knew existed, I’m the true music amateur here ) And listening to my old favs, their...Read full review »

I so appreciate this podcast. I listen when I can’t sleep and it gets my mind off whatever nonsense I’m into that night and focused on the music they’re eating. Morphine is a great episode (really two) to check out.

This podcast is impossible not to enjoy. Dive in for the bands you know, stay for the bands you might not know, but whatever you do… make sure your WATCH OUT for more episodes coming soon!

Waldron and Bill are amateur music commentators, and they invite the listener in for their top song picks for each week. They are well versed in their subject from week to week, and it impresses me how well researched they are, given the casual nature of their banter. It is obvious these two...Read full review »

I love this podcast. Waldron and Bill are very entertaining, they have good chemistry, and are knowledgable about the artists and technical aspects of music. The format of exploring the artists catalog to select the best album and song is a lot of fun. I often find myself going back and listening...Read full review »

Listened to a couple of episodes and I can’t get passed all of the subjectivity and attempts at humor. It’s not worth the listen.

This podcast has a lot going for it. There is a great mix of humorous banter and music knowledge. I have listened to every episode and will continue to listen to everything they put out even if it’s a band I’m not really into. Keep up the great work and keep the content coming. Would recommend 6...Read full review »

Morphine Part II episode was wonderful. Listening felt like a really special experience, like I was being let in on a conversation. I learned things I didn’t know and loved hearing Dana and Jerome talk about it all. And the rapport between the hosts and Morphine members was fun to listen to too....Read full review »

The show is basically two guys digging deep into the music of artists they clearly respect. It’s a great way to learn about artists who don’t tend to come up on streaming services. For artists and songs you already know, it helps you appreciate them more. I’ve loved Bachelor No. 2 by Aimee Mann...Read full review »

I am a HUGE Morphine band and have rarely had opportunities to share my love for the band with anyone. I discovered this podcast when the surviving Morphine band members posted something about this on their Facebook page. The first episode was just the hosts - Bill and Waldron - talking about...Read full review »

This is a great podcast. I don’t even like some of their band choices but the depth of their interest and affection shines through. I would recommend this, even to my mother in law!

Just listened to the Morphine episode. As a Morphine fan, it was awesome, but anyone can get into these episodes whether you know about the band or not. Great stuff here!

Two music aficionados rank their top three songs for artists like Steely Dan, Galactic and Jimi Hendrix, and take a deep dive into the reasons why. I find this podcast very entertaining! Bill and Waldron have a great rapport and are fun to listen to. I’m a musician and I’ve learned a few neat facts I did not know. Great podcast with fast framework to discuss bands via their “best song”. I like the manageable length compared to some other extensive band-centric podcasts that spend hours to arrive at the same insights. Waldron and Bill are a great pair with fun and giggles and feelings. Love it!

Despite their dubious credentials, Bill and Waldron have crafted a near-perfect podcast; an engaging balance of music commentary, music history, and their own, thoughtful opinions.
