Things to Know Before Taking Vitamin D Supplement
Vitamin D is found in many types of multivitamin supplements or supplements that contain only vitamin D. The type of vitamin D found in various supplements is vitamin D2 or D3. Both types both increase vitamin D levels in the body. However, D3 is said to be able to increase vitamin D levels higher than D2. Because vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin, it is best absorbed when taken with foods that contain fat.
