“I'm really enjoying this podcast. I only found it accidentally recently but am so glad I did. It's helped me pass the time on various journeys, etc. Although I've heard of some of the mysteries, many have been new to me.
The two chaps are generally very well informed and have a great sense of humour, although I have to agree with another reviewer in that Devin seems less of a good 'fit'. This isn't personal at all - just stating how things come over to the listener - Devin seems to not get many of the jokes which then makes for some slightly awkward moments and, for example, when talking about the Malaysian Airways mystery, Joe mentioned the Bay of Bengal - at which point, Devin asked 'Where's that?'...Umm, I think the clue was in the name...?! She also made a rather ill judged dig at the British during the Rendlesham Forest epsiode, with completely erroneous 'knowledge' - ie, she had no idea what she was talking about. Considering listeners are not just in the US, I think that perhaps this lack of respect towards other nations, and lack of knowledge generally needs to be adddressed as it can spoil what is otherwise a really good, intelligent, entertaining, and often amusing podcast. One point - the Cicada episode was way too long, and should have got to the theories much sooner, however, that's the only one I've ever ended up skipping over a bit so don't start with that one as it could put you off and that would be a shame.”Read full review »
