“I lived on a Afghan police compound in Helmand for a year with 20 other Marines and a Navy Corpsman while we advised the Afghan National Security Forces in 2012-2013. Retired in 2015. This excellent podcast reminds me of why I love Marines. I appreciate the honesty and heart with which the stories of 3rd Squad are told, stories of real people who paid a sacrifice far heavier than their fair share for the country. I whole-heartedly recommend this podcast.”
