Bek Air Flight 2100 was a Fokker 100 domestic passenger plane on a scheduled flight from Almaty to Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, on December 27th, 2019. It took off from Almaty International Airport, but didn’t get very far. Typhoon Cobra was first observed on December 17 when it surprised a fleet of ships in the open waters of the western Pacific Ocean. It packed sustained winds of up to 100 mph with gusts to 140 mph. December 8th...2016...this day in weather history; we had one storm, resulting in 3 major pileups in 3 different states, with 2 happening on the same Interstate Highway. The biggest of the pileups involved 50 vehicles and we had am empty and stranded school bus used as a make-shift triage.
