I am obsessed with listening to podcast. This is my favorite of all times. Scott and Rob bring a good balance and ton of knowledge along with humour. Love it, absolutely!

As a young dev this podcast is amazing insight into what the future may hold. Rob Connor offers a fantastic perspective, great interview guest, and the accompanying music offers the right emotion to tell the story with added sensation. I truly feel connected to the people in this podcast by the...Read full review »

I just started listening to developer podcasts and this is by far my favorite. I hope y'all get back to making regular episodes. I'm assuming you stopped because Rob has been traveling. Keep it up guys!

This is a great podcast not only for dev folks, but even non-dev folks. The content, the music, and the banter between Scott and Rob are really funny.

You guys are great, and I know you both are very busy but I really do wish This Developer's Life was more frequent :( I check every single day with no luck. Please, release the next podcast soon, can't wait to listen to it! Take care guys.

I started out with older eps, intending to listen all the way through, then started skipping through in hopes the issues I had with the format would clear up with its maturity. Alas, they didn't. I will say, the topics and stories told in this podcast are great, very in touch with real people...Read full review »

This is a very nice show. Rob and Scott work very well together and the format of the show is very interesting. I like how it doesn't necessarily talk about technical subjects but is always relevant to the profession as whole. It compliments other tech oriented podcasts in a really nice way,...Read full review »

This is an awesome show, it hits my love of well produced "radio" and software development interests. For a small show this has much of the production quality that This American Life has it. I love it, I wish I had done it!

Rob and Scott are not only great developers and teachers. They're also really good preachers of the geek/dev culture. Thanks a lot, guys!

As a fan of This American Life I totally crave This Developer's Life. Rob and Scott pick some really interesting topics which are not widely covered in blogs and articles. The interviewers ask great questions to get genuine insight from the guests. I am sure a ton of work is being performed...Read full review »

Thanks to Rob and Scott for this awesome podcast. My only wish would be to make it more frequent, but I understand it's a labor of love. Keep it up! Hey - how about a show on "uncertainty"?

Love the hell out if this podcast. Love the stories and love the music. I just spent the last month listening to all the old ones. Too bad it's not more frequent. I'm not even a developer but love the stories.

This podcast has very good content, but it's overshadowed by the attempts to make it artistic. the sound effects, and the music get in the way.

Like one of those NPR programs. The background score is good but kinda cheesy at times. Still love it. Keep 'em coming.

Is this my developer life? Is it all downhill from here? This podcast started off great with great stories. Now it seems we are just making up stories to tell. I liked the format more when it was mostly Rob. I like his voice (view of the world) much better than Scott's. Wish they would try and...Read full review »

This Developer's Life is a great show. It features concepts you probably encounter in your professional life in IT. It makes you think about some of those concepts. I always come away from this podcasts learning something, getting an inside view of things, and entertained. This is production quality, development education, story telling at its best.
Jessy Houle via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/29/11
I tried this podcast based on Hanselminutes. It would be a far better podcast if they skipped the music and also stopped the framing of segments, prefacing and rehashing and trying to force the subjects' words to fit their views. they almost made Miguiel DeIcaza's interview un-listenable. ...Read full review »

I found episodes 1.0.1 to 1.1.4 to be outstanding podcasts. I listened to each multiple times, and couldn't wait for the next to arrive. I'd even play them for my wife in the car to give her some insight into what I do (I am a software developer). As far as podcasts go, it is top notch qualtiy,...Read full review »

Lots of bits on career management as a SW Dev which is rare. I think Scott and Rob are busy, but they should at least update more. Show's audio editing has improved from earlier episodes - but I can't say how exactly.
Coffee Jones via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/03/11
Always a fantastic original and interesting content, always great music (I'm guessing that this is Rob's touch) and to make it even better, great quality.

Usually interesting and relevant developer topics, but often lacks conciseness and drags on for longer than it needs to. Usually the hour long show could be distilled to 30-40 minutes of solid content, but there seems to be quite an infatuation with overly long and jarring musical interludes. ...Read full review »

Thank you so much I started programming a bit and studying it at 13 I know the basic of c++ and python. I am 14 now and I had sort of lost my motivation but now after listening to the first three podcasts of this series I am more motivated then ever.
