“If you’re new to Jones and/ or the period, this is a great, easily-accessible starting place. Rest assured, however, that there’s also plenty for those who are familiar. So if you’ve read The Plantagenets and watched his accompanying TV stuff and are thinking; ‘What else can he possibly have to say on the subject? I know it all!’ rest assured Dan Jones seems to always have more to tell us about his favourite dynasty, which suits me just fine, as I enjoyed it immensely! I find him a very engaging, natural storyteller and as such, the podcast format really suits his style. I personally loved the shorter, snappier format - perfect for when you want a little burst of something interesting, but maybe don’t have the time/ inclination to concentrate on chapters of a longer history book. Thoroughly recommend!”
