I can’t comment on the content of the podcast I was too distracted by the constant over-talking of “Yes, Yep, uh hu.” I guess it’s good that the hosts agree with each other but the incessant affirmations was too much. In a 35 minute episode Yes/Yea/Yep was said 314 times, that’s not including...Read full review »

I enjoyed the Sally Thorne breakdowns of book and film, but ladies you need to give the authors names of the books you cover in your preambles not just the titles. It’s frustrating that you don’t.

Hey Maddie & Abby, I think I’ve listened to about 6 or 7 of your episodes so far for the books I’ve already read and I enjoy listening and I have some feedback! In your episodes your focus is discussing the plot points and characters and how they made you feel which is crucial in any book...Read full review »

I’ve been having a blast listening to the This is My Hobby Podcast! They pick great books, many of which happen to be my recent reads and I love the book club vibes discussing them. Plus listening to them discussing their teaching escapades is hilarious!

Always fun. Maddie and Abby pick the best books, some that everyone else is talking about and some I wouldn’t have thought to pick out. Love their little catch ups before they get down to talking about the book as well. 5 stars!

So first off, Maddie & Abby found me, which I think is pretty neat because it’s usually the other way around with podcasts (hooray for IG). I was reading Normal People and put it on IG, they found the post, we discussed it, they pitched their pod to me, and the rest is history. It’s pretty...Read full review »

If there’s anything I’ve missed from 2019, it’s my monthly book club. 2020 snatched that from me but I was lucky enough to discover Maddie and Abby on Instagram and get my “book chat” fix! I’ve been dying to discuss and get perspective on what I’m reading! Listening makes me happy and feels like I’m chatting with a girlfriends book club.
