From a Midwestern Non-Scientist
I really enjoy the podcast. I've learned a great deal from TWIP (& TWIV). I help run a homebuilding company and have little formal scientific training, but in a Jeffersonian way, I've always had a burning desire to enlighten myself on a wide range of topics. Through your podcasts I have discovered a new world of beautiful complexity and mystery in this branch of science. There is so much yet to be learned by humanity and so much good to done, it is very exciting stuff. I find myself waiting anxiously for the next podcast to be released and then listen at my earliest opportunity. As a listener without formal training, I'd like to let you know that using technical terms and jargon is OK. I regularly google terms I don't understand as the show progresses. I recommend this to any listener. For me, this is far superior to having the podcast dumbed down to a junior high school level. And i'm sure i'm not alone in this: keep the stories coming Dick, they are truly priceless.Read full review »

As a former public health nurse, full time artist and naturalist, I search for interesting science/medical podcasts. I listen while working on art. I hit the jackpot with TWIP. Thank you. <3

TWIP, TWIV and TWIM are fantastic! I feel as if I am a fly on the wall, as Vince, Dick and the assorted cast discuss the microbial world. I was not fortunate enough to attend Columbia, but I feel as if I have part of the experience as I listen to these podcasts. Keep it going!
