Fond Memories
In the mid 1970s I coached a mixed boy/girl 12 and under team in Mechanicsburg, PA. The two best players on that team were the McCarthy Sisters, Kathleen and Megan who later became All Americans at William and Mary. Megan went on to be a member of the National team that went to the 1991 World Cup. Unfortunately, she blew her knee out and was unable to play in the Cup final.Though Megan we met April Heinrichs and became avid fans of the US women team. We follow them religiously and really appreciate Grant's work in boosting the great Game. I find the Womens game much more exciting than the prima donnas on today's mens teams, who should be nominated for Oscars for their diving and acting skills. Go USWNT!Read full review »
