“Been on and off the bus since 1994. I had “intellectual” issues with the Bible. I was challenged by a 13 year old boy who pointed me to 1 Corinthians 15. He said, “My dad told me that if Jesus did not die for our sins and resurrect from the dead, the whole Bible is a joke and we are the biggest fools.”
I was raised as a Catholic but at 14 I determined it was a racket. Well, my issue was not intellectual, I just did not want to give up my sinful lifestyle.
After 9 months of having this boys words just digest in my mind and heart, I remember the day... I asked God, “If you want me to believe, then show me.” God spoke to me that very moment March 8, 1994, He said, “Believe in Me, and I will show you who I am.”
I said, “I believe, please forgive me.”
Within 3 weeks I did not have the desire to drink, curse or womanize.
Started going to Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa and now attend Calvary Chapel Pacific Hills.
Married, 3 kids and 1 new grandson. Oh to have a personal relationship with Jesus... just me, Him and His Word...
