“I've heard the first four episodes and based on those I write this review. The story is deeply disturbing; we have heard it all before but not like this! The systematic corruption, not of agencies or institutions but of humans is sobering and disheartening if the base for your hope on things to come is not firm. The host tells the story in an unobrusive way, he shows up when needed, he knows when to let the story be the protagosnist. It is well researched and not sentimental at all. However, the editing gives me pause. I'm not a fan of snippets of interviews cut and pasted while the host places them along his narrative, but I'll hang in there. It is still one of the top three true crime podcasts out there. The best part: no self-indulging sentimentalism. I truly appreciate that!”Read full review »
