Experience the Joys and Sadnesses of the first-time Buffy viewer!
So many hearts! Tender, tender hearts! I am a huge Buffy fan and LOVED this whole podcast. I maaaay be the sort of person who has listened to more than 3 different Buffy podcasts and watch the show on endless repeat, so there's your grain of salt. Here are some things to love about this podcast: 1) Listening to someone watch Buffy for the first time. FOR REAL. I love introducing people to Buffy, but it's kind of, well mostly people open to watching it have already done it, and other people are either not my friends or I don't want to ruin our friendship, so this was amazing. As Willow says "I have to get my vicarious smoochies somewhere." 2) Canadianness. I learned about toques and Canadian high schools and ... well, it's adorably "achingly Canadian." 3) So sweetly queer and -- yeah, it just filled my heart with joy. 4) Songs songs and the musical episode. 5) some great focus on the music-- especially the love of Christophe Beck and reminding me why some of that music just makes me CRY. 6) speaking of crying, OMG I cried most of the way through the episode on Passion. And then listened to it once more with ... um, crying. Taylor and Andrea- you're the best!Read full review »
