Simplified, limited perspective
I wanted to like this show. I listened to a couple episodes and thought it was ok, then I got to the “This is Why You Aren’t Happy” episode and unsubscribed. I believe the host has good intentions but he has no business doing a mental health podcast. The advice on this episode was “it’s not things, it’s people who make you happy”, “go focus on your relationship with your significant other, your parents, your aunts / uncles”. Some of us have family of origin trauma that has impacted our ability to form relationships. Some of us have depression and feelings of isolation from being 2 years into this pandemic, and not having a family or a partner for support. I know “things” don’t make us happy, but this is oversimplified advice from someone who has a very limited perspective on mental health. If you’re struggling, please seek out podcasts by reputable, qualified people, and find a licensed therapist if you are able to.

This podcast aims to give you as much helpful info as needed, with as little fluff as possible…so you can get UP and put the knowledge into ACTION. Love that. Kudos to Gregg for bringing his listeners nutritious, bit-sized episodes for living a better life!
