“This is one of a handful of daily podcasts that I’ve listened to for several years. They go as in-depth as they can into a current hot topic over 25-30 min. They do it very well, and know how to ask the right questions to their guests, allowing listeners to learn more about what’s being discussed and written about in various other media outlets. The episodes are a mix of the biggest topics that all media outlets are covering and other topics that are current, relevant, and important, but not being discussed as widely. Sean is a great host, and I was so happy when I heard Noel King was joining as another host. I loved listening to her on Up First, and I enjoy hearing her more in-depth interviews and how she seems to have a little more freedom in her speaking and interviewing on this show. One of my favorite episodes is still the one from early on in the Russia/Ukraine war, and shortly after she joined Today Explained. There was so much coverage at the time, but that episode was the first time I heard people in Ukraine and from Russia speak about what was going on and what people were talking about and feeling there. Keep it up, y’all!!! 💫”
