The latest episode asking whether we should stop arming Israel, at the heels of ‘western’ aid workers deliberately targeted and killed by Israel, is well, about 6 months late.. world opinion shifted after the first month of 7 Oct and The Times is coyly posing that question only now.. obviously, I...Read full review »

A regular listener, I was particularly interested in your recent sister show on AI. I would love you to do a UK version of the Australian “who screwed millennials…” series
nj_student via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 04/01/24
MOMG, this show on Who Screwed millennials is so repetitive in its content. If the rest are like this cut each by 50% please.

Mispronounces the subject of investigation at every mention, even after being corrected (in episode 2). This just really bothered me because the point of "ClothOff", as you yourselves illustrate, is to create images of people with *clothes off*. Nobody is clamoring for whatever "Cloth...Read full review »

Reporting on Gaza is notably insufficient.

Great reporting and story telling, though, being older and remembering much 20th century history I sometimes thought “and your surprised??” Much of the current generation of journos and editors are too young to directly remember the last third of the 20th century. All I ask is that you go back...Read full review »

Listening to Martha’s story brought back so many memories of our experience of what our daughter went through after a Traumatic Brain Injury. She spent nearly 6 months in hospital and during that time we saw the best and worst of what the NHS has to offer. We have been very lucky and our daughter...Read full review »

I’m raging. How dare Polly Toynby tell us working pensioners pay national insurance! I’ve worked from 16. Now 69 still working 12 hr shifts ( albeit part time now) as I need to. She can pay NI if she wants. You have to opt out of paying it once you reach state pension age otherwise you pay it....Read full review »

Stop calling him Boris - it’s either Boris Johnson or Johnson. He’s not your mate. Also preferred to have had a second contributor on this episode as it could have added to the discussion and perhaps sharpened the responses to some of the issues discussed here. Generally, enjoy the podcast but it...Read full review »

The coverage of the Israel-Hamas war is very biased in favour of Palestinians, and critical of Israel. The people they interview blame Israel for everything, never underscoring Israel did not start this war, or that Israeli’s are grieving and at war as well. Hamas uses their own civilians as...Read full review »

Faced with evidence that points to Hamas military presence at the hospital, the reporter keeps saying that it’s all too unclear or uncertain or such a small quantity. Excellent series. Episode on Morocco is exceptional. Similar podcasts from other international outlets used similar material but did not come anywhere near the level of reporting, information and analysis. Well done Today in Focus.

If you want to be informed and moved, do follow this podcast series. I wasn’t able to get to the end of the episode on the stolen children of Bangladesh without crying, but I’m so glad someone is doing this important journalism.

Some episodes really are brilliant, but interspersed with some not so interesting ones. I have to congratulate the team on the trafficked 4-part podcast- this type of journalism is absolutely necessary and is why I listen 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
