These are so informative and so fun to listen to. Every episode is a little nugget of Tolkien goodness, a little treat for every day. If you love all things Tolkien, this is definitely for you.

Fully up to date either via podcast or YouTube I’ve seen or listened to every episode.

I really need my short daily dose of Tolkien. In this podcast, Alan Sisto gives me exactly that, and really well. For depth, go to the Prancing Pony Podcast. For a quick thought on the Silmarillion, the Third Age (which is far more than just the LOTR) or a Tolkien word, this is the place. Great fun!

Valardrd. Noldordrd. Feanordrdr. It is so distracting. I love the prancing pony but I can’t pay attention with every bloody r rolled in the readings.

Insightful, entertaining, and well produced. Short snippets to bridge the week between the Prancing Pony Podcast. If you love the work of Tolkien this is for you. !

I love these daily shorts on all things Tolkien. It’s a really great idea and fills a void that many content creators overlook. A mix of lore and actual Tolkien background is a fresh perspective. Many look to only the lore and do not pay enough attention to the man behind the myth. Bravo Alan!

Alan Sisto serves a delicious daily appetizer of Tolkien lore which is always interesting, informative, and entertaining. These bite-sized episodes are easy to fit into my busy schedule too.

I’ve been a devoted follower of the Prancing Pony Podcast (PPP) from the beginning so I can tell you that Today’s Tolkien Times (TTT) is the best of the best! Listen to the PPP on a long drive or wherever else you have time to think, but be nourished daily by the TTT with bite-sized nuggets that...Read full review »

Alan does a great job being concise and on-topic in the TTT! The episodes are enjoyable, though I find the daily schedule to be a little overwhelming. It’s hard to keep up! However, that’s mostly due to personal preference. My only critique is the number of ads. There’s sometimes as much digital...Read full review »

Today’s Tolkien Times is the perfect little daily dose of Tolkien. From topics stemming directly from the legendarium to discussion about Tolkien’s life and everything in between, it’s a great way to have a daily reminder of why we are a part of the amazing Tolkien Community. And I love that TTT...Read full review »

I was fortunate enough to find The Prancing Pony podcast earlier this year so I have been very excited to listen to Alan’s new venture. These bite-sized daily bits of Tolkien has been a great addition to my day. Looking forward to joining in on this new adventure!

It’s like eating a Hershey kiss everyday instead of the whole chocolate bar, still delicious!

At less than 10 minutes, each episode focuses tightly on one specific aspect of Tolkien’s sub-creation, philology, or biography. It is a fantastic way to start any day… and it helps me start mine feeling good about the world (just as Tolkien’s stories do). Alan Sisto has grown over the years from...Read full review »

The teaser trailer was great at setting up my anticipation. The first episode was delivered well and question was answered directly with good reference points. I am looking forward to a bit of Tolkien delivered to me daily.

Tasty tidbits of Tolkien goodness, offered to you six days a week by the Man of the West himself, Alan Sisto. Sundays, of course, are the dates for the award-winning Prancing Pony Podcast, but for the rest of the week, Alan is offering a daily tapas plate, mixing in a variety of types of...Read full review »

This is the perfect addition to the Tolkien podcast world. Everyone has a couple minutes in their busy days to take a quick listen. Bite-size pieces of Tolkien information on a daily basis.

This is a different format to intake more knowledge about the man behind Middle-earth. Alan uses him seemingly endless knowledge to answer questions and share obscure information. You can listen here or watch the videos on YouTube!

I’ve just listened to the inaugural episode of Today’s Tolkien Times and I can’t wait for more!
