Free Lorenzo!
I had stopped reading Tom and Lorenzo's blog, because I came to feel that their blog persona had just become too mean-spirited, and their sycophantic “Bitter Kitten” followers… just, ugh. However, I did miss their coverage of Project Runway, so I thought I’d give the podcast a try. I am happy to say, they are much, much, much more likable on this platform. They express their opinions, discuss their opinions, and then sometimes change their opinions after talking it through. I enjoy hearing that process and find it much easier to take than their sometimes harsh and often arbitrary opinions expressed on the blog. But here’s the thing: Tom will not let Lorenzo talk. I am an introvert, and one of the worst things you can do to an introvert is to interrupt them, because we don’t talk unless we have something to say. I sense that Lorenzo, who is soft-spoken and thoughtful when he is allowed to speak, may be an introvert (or maybe I’m just projecting) and every time Tom interrupts him, which is often, it hurts me a little inside on Lorenzo’s behalf.Read full review »

I look forward to Tom and Lorenzo taking on weekly topics every Friday. They always cover something I’m interested in, and they often bring new topics and views to my attention.
