“Despite being a ‘football' podcast, this show is actually only tangentially about football and is mostly an excuse for the 2 hosts to mess around and tell funny stories… which, and I think you’ll agree, is fine by me!
However, while one of the hosts is a very funny anecdotalist who loves to jump off into whimsical and hilarious flights of fancy, the other host isn’t funny in the slightest, has a massive northern chip on his shoulder (and I say this as a fellow northerner!) and often actually ruins the other host’s comedy by blocking him, interrupting him, shutting him down or copying his voices and anecdotes but in a painfully unfunny way.
It makes for a very strange show. One of the funniest things you can treat your ears to when Sam is talking but a bitter, unfunny car-crash when Andy is talking.
