We humbly ask you our audience to decide for yourselves whether practice is finally living up to the the old maim or at least heading that way with our latest podcast. As far as corona virus and vaccines are concerned we speak pure science and statistics although we do indulge in carefully weighted opinion of those who should be leading us and protecting our interests. Why is it then that the action of merely typing this last sentence suffused me with a disconcerting sense of cognitive dissonance? We discuss the health or rather illness and disease fallouts of lockdown and not only shutting down the health service as we know it but also the gatekeepers to the health service i.e. GPs. Even now the British Medical Association is resisting a return by GPs to their own practices. By really telling the truth of the complete chaos and error in clinical judgment which characterises most of the global response to corona virus enabled by the desperate avoidance of responsibility by elected politicians we can remove all hope of a speedy resolution which at least will stop this abusive grooming of the population and hand back a sense of control. We suggest this may instead be an opportunity to deal with reality rather than our normal lives of illusionary fantasy and unrealistic aspirations . Let us switch off from media especially social media and interact and focus purely on our families and close friends. All studies on longevity and happiness have daily human contact especially with family and close friends as the number one criterion.
