Description
This week on TRACK! We are delighted to be joined by Jenny Nesbitt. Jenny is a HOKA One One sponsored athlete currently located in Cardiff. Jenny has impressive PBs from 3,000m to the half marathon and is a regular in track, road and cross country races throughout the year. Jenny began her athletics career with Worcester AC as part of  Dave Walker’s successful group and won the Worcester City 10km in 2017. More recently, Jenny competed in the Commonwealth Games in 2018 on the Gold Coast in Australia in the 10,000m and in 2019 had brilliant performances in both the Welsh National XC Champs and the Inter Counties XC Champs in which she won both races. Jenny went on to race in the European and World XC Championships that year and continues to race across the club scene and is set to continue her brilliant career in the sport. Jenny has managed to jump back in to a few races since lockdown restrictions have been eased and most notably competed at the British Championships this weekend in Manchester in the 5,000m event clocking a time of 16.10 in 9th place, so we are delighted that she has agreed to talk all things running with us here at TRACK! In the pre-show Robbie, Cat and Ben discuss the latest race results from across the UK including the British Championships. We also discuss the Brussels Diamond League meet in which the WR for the hour run was broken in both the male and female events. The latest running news is also covered including the latest England Athletics XC announcement, a new half-marathon WR and Cheptegei's latest record attempt. We hope you enjoy it!
