Description
This week on TRACK! we are delighted to be joined by Aaron Scott. Aaron is an elite distance runner with impressive PBs across a full range of distances, particularly at the longer events including a 65.50 Half-marathon and a 2.16 marathon best. At the club level Aaron runs for Bedford & County, but has also been part of winning teams at the Northern road relay championships as a Lincoln Wellington athlete. Aaron has raced across the track, road and country and continues to string high mileage training weeks together throughout the year. Aaron’s current marathon PB was set at the Frankfurt marathon in October 2018 and in Frankfurt in 2019; Aaron represented England finishing in 21st position in a time of 2.17.05, as the second Englishman to cross the line. At the time of recording Aaron was two weeks away from taking to the streets of LDN to once again race a marathon, this time the lapped LDN marathon in St James Park in a bio-secure environment amongst the likes of Eliud Kipchoge and a very strong field of fellow brits. So we were delighted that Aaron took some time out to discuss all things running with us at TRACK! In the pre-show Cat, Robbie and Ben discuss the latest race results including a huge day at the London Marathon, and cover all of the latest news in the UK running club scene.
