This week on TRACK! We are delighted to be joined by marathon and ultra runner Dan Nash. Dan is a Cardiff AC runner who holds the British 50km record of 2.49.01 which he set in 2019 in Romania during the IAU 50km World Championships whilst winning an individual and team bronze medal. Dan also has impressive PBs across a range of distances from 1500m to marathon with a marathon best of 2.18 also from 2019 at the Brighton Marathon. At the time of recording we were four days after the LDN marathon in which Dan took to the lapped course of St James Park amongst some of the best marathon runners in the World. In the build up to the event Dan gained some media attention in response to the way he secured his place on the start line but has also been gaining popularity through his openness regarding his training and preparations for his racing. Dan is currently studying for a PhD in Exercise physiology at Cardiff Met University, works as a Sports physiologist for Welsh Athletics and also has a coaching role so we are delighted that Dan has taken some time out of his very busy schedule to discuss all things running with us here at TRACK!
