Ryan and I have been on all kinds of hunts together.  We started at a young age still hunting whitetails with our rifles, and have since done all kinds of hunts including, multiple adventure hunts in the unforgiving terrains of Alaska.  Things have changed since we were kids in the 80’s, the most noticeable being gear.  With the gear available today we are able to take so much more gear and stay so much more comfortable than ever before.  In fact there are so many choices for gear items it...

Ryan and I first met Greg at the 2017 Sheep Show in Reno, Nevada.  It was the first year of the outdoor pack race.  It seemed like a great opportunity for Ryan and I to test our training programs for our fall sheep hunt. It was a grueling race through the snow and when it was said and done, Greg had given us a serious butt whooping. Me more than Ryan, but it was impressive. We later found out that he was far more than just a great runner, he was a certified badass! Greg is a recent World...

Our guest today is Ryan Lampers, a guy that I met almost ten years ago in the elk woods. He’s a soft spoken guy from the westside of Washington. But don’t let his demeanor fool you. This guy is a big game slayer. He is one of those guys that just systematically puts large animals on the ground year after year. When everyone else is complaining about the elk activity this guy is packing out his bull. He is fisherman, a gardener, canner, sausage maker, hunter, and just an all around great...
