Not every destination needs to be compared to NYC
This podcast is very well produced and provides excellent travel tips if you can get past one thing: the constant comparisons of every destination to New York. The LA episode is especially full of “LA’s so cool but it’s different from New York because….” Sample quotes: "LA is the un-New York - and driving is one of the ways in which that manifests itself.” “All the problems of New York are solved by LA and vice versa.” (Why do I care?) Downtown LA is described as a “New York in their [the residents of Los Angeles] city and has a novelty factor that Brooklyn used to hold for residents of NYC. (No, Captain Pretentious, they have a downtown LOS ANGELES which has NOTHING to do with NYC.) Also, did you know that people are moving to LA because it’s cheaper than New York? (Newsflash: EVERYWHERE is cheaper than New York.) Anyway, if you’re a New Yorker, there’s a lot in this podcast for you. As for me, I think I’m ready to throw in the towel, though I’m sure the hosts of this podcast can think of waaaaay more cool to throw than a towel and won’t hesitate to let me know.Read full review »

The podcast for 1-19-2018 already had 2 F-bombs and some other expletives within the first half. Like can't you...Read full review »
