Born and raised in the woods of south Mississippi, I am a outdoor lover. Camping, fishing and kayaking have been a big part of our life. Back packing? Never crossed my mind until recently. So many hiking trails from south to north Mississippi. I really think my wife and kids will enjoy it. Thanks...Read full review »

I love this podcast. Scott and Arian give great information in a fun, way that targets newbies and experienced hikers. Some of the other podcasts are more about guys talking about their adventures and it’s more about them than it is about educating. Some people really think that their...Read full review »

In a world where everyone is pushing something I find this podcast refreshing. They don’t put everyone into the same box rather they discuss how to become the best you for the outdoors. When they talk gear they don’t say this is the best gear but how to go about finding the best gear for you. ...Read full review »

It would be awesome if you two could get the microphones in sync. Scott talks low and quiet and his volume trails off as he speaks, and then when Ariana speaks, and I have to turn my volume down. If I set my volume for Ariana, then I can’t hear Scott. Keep up the great podcast. ...Read full review »

I had really been enjoying your podcast until I listened to an episode about you tubers seeking fame from their thru hike videos. Perhaps some of that is true, I don’t know and you don’t know this for sure. But I, for one, have enjoyed watching those videos and am thankful that we have this...Read full review »

Based on what my ears told me, you interviewed an author whose book you didn't completely read. Hankes recycled various stereotypes about one party and - surprise! - it involved rebelling against his parents (big yawn here). Pro Tip: It would be nice to have better guests with more diverse...Read full review »

I love this podcast. The chemistry and banter between the hosts is entertaining and the gear information is great. Hi, I really like your show and will continue to listen to older episodes to catch up. I listened to the episode about heat stroke/dehydration. While there was certainly good info and reminders about drinking enough, I found it troubling that they never mentioned hyponatremia, which can ALSO be fatal, and has symptoms that mimic heat stroke. I just listened to a few shows and some were good and others not so much. In one, the man sounded like he was eating the whole time he was talking, and in this most recent one, the woman sounds incoherent—I kept thinking “is she high”?

I really liked this podcast at first. Then I started listening to the episodes and really paying attention to the advice. Rather than a concise conversation about the topic, both hosts engage in a long rambling freeform discussion. Not really helpful backpacking advice or best practices.

Only listened to a few episodes, but am already in love with the show. Both hosts sound great - they stay on topic, maintain a sense of humor, and come across as very knowledgeable.
