This is, quite simply, the best podcast out there. ‘Nuff said.

Tried again - this host is still insufferable. Now triggered by Scott Baio. This host clearly has severe mental illness

Premise is very simple. I love it for the nostalgia I feel remembering, and Ken’s encyclopedic knowledge of all things TV no matter what decade! A++

Kenneth W Reid gives guided tours of 20th century pop culture to actors, comedians, and industry insiders. The tv guide device works really well as a jumping off point for related trivia and as a way to tie everything together - it really gives the show a structured tour-like feel. I’ve been...Read full review »

This is the best podcast about classic tv and anything on tv (maybe not sports but everything else). Ken is a savant level expert on every network and pretty much every show dating back to the start of the medium.

Pure nostalgia and brings me such warm memories of being a child raised by tv. With all of his episodes in his collection, you can easily be propelled back to any modern tv era. I am astounded by Ken’s knowledge and loves that he shares it with us.

TV Guidance Counselor Podcast has been on fire since the new year! They haven’t hit their stride, they’re sprinting right through it. From Dan Larson to Drew McQueeney these have been the most knowledgeable and entertaining guests in a while. Throw in a little Mr. belvedere talk with a former...Read full review »

I use to really enjoy this podcast. I realize there is a pandemic and Ken can't have guests "in studio" but having the guest via Zoom or Skype is just terrible. It is really really terrible. No flow to the conversation. Ken or the guest talk over each other. Most of the time the...Read full review »

Ken is endlessly entertaining. Great podcast for tv history pop culture nostalgia. This is one of two podcasts where I have listened to almost every single episode. Always look forward to new episodes every Monday.

So glad I found this show. Bless you Ken and your bounty of classic TV Guide PDFs.

Being a child of the early 70’s, I have a few years on Ken. You would not ever suspect this, however, due to Ken’s encyclopedic knowledge about shows that were WAY before his time. For example: He and a guest referenced an early Sunday morning Christian show called “Jot” that I had seen as a...Read full review »

Every episode features SOMETHING that tickles my nostalgia bone. Ken is always so pleasant and delightful. Ken makes me feel less wierd about being such a TV lover, and it’s like listening to an old friend talking about TV memories.

This guy speaks my language. I grew up on TV, and could probably go toe to toe with Ken as a guest. I recommend this podcast to everyone, especially JGen Xers and latchkey kids.

Been listening for years. Ken’s a sweet guy with tons of interesting TV tidbits. The conversations are engaging and always very funny.

Good concept but the host is a clown.

Great show for tv buffs and former latchkey kids. I absolutely love when the show sticks to its standard format of having a guest pick an issue of the Guide and choosing their weekly viewing based on that, it’s a great idea and I love the nostalgia of it all. Ken always has on great guests, even...Read full review »

Ken Reid uses the context of TV, including, especially, obscure shows from the last century, to delve into the minds of his guests in this neat show.

Ken is a scholar and a gentleman, providing us unique insight and deep dives into tv, pop culture, and films- while also providing thoughtful and interesting guests to converse with. Looking at the amount of podcasts and the names of the interviewees, you would think “wow, this is going to be astounding, I’m going to learn so many new things”. Enjoyed sharing this podcast with my brother after I got to be a guest and now we both listen on the regs and discuss! Also, we marvel at Ken’s encyclopedic knowledge of tv/ actors/ show runners/ writers... it’s mind blowing.

As an 80s kid raised by the television, this podcast is right up my alley! Ken knows all the same things that I know and I’m always learning something new through this show. Always look forward to seeing a new episode pop up in the podcast feed!

Sit back! Relax and enjoy this awesome podcast. (If you’re lucky, you’ll get to hear the dogs bark!) Great guests. Great stories. Great host. Great concept for a podcast. Ken really knows how to run the show!!

Seriously. Interviews are always top notch - be they of the initial format or at a comic con or the occasional letting some one plug someone kind.

Ken Reid is a very special boy and pick up some useless knowledge from this Prince of escapism. He can seriously hold his own even with the most highly weaponized autistic TV obsessed weirdos. Love the show!!!!

I'm halfway through all the episodes and it's very fun! The host, Ken, seems to know many of the guest comedians, and does well placing both his fellow comedians and the more popular actors and writers back in time, almost like a mental way-back machine placing the listener into the...Read full review »

This is one of my favorite weekly podcasts. I also love tv and hearing ken geek out about shows. The one problem i have is with the sound quality.
