“What I want from a podcast like this is smart people trying to untangle the threads of each episode as it happens. That's not what you get here. I got so frustrated with the ep about ep 10 that I turned it off halfway through. The two hosts spent a solid ten minutes hand-wringing and moaning about how future listeners who have watched the whole series will look back and judge them. Well guess what, dummies! Current listeners are your priority! So quit navel-gazing and meta-ing and get to the show!
After all that frustration, they don't even provide the slightest background about a character to give you a little reminder of where else you've seen them.
I really wanted to love this cast. The two guys are generally funny and seem nice enough. But they need a producer who'll guide them and edit them down. Cripes.”Read full review »
