“Immaginarsi Thomas a casa sua ascoltare tutto il giorno pop music sembra difficile, ma da sempre, o quantomeno fin dalle prime interviste, ha sempre ammesso che i Pere Ubu erano un gruppo pop, un gruppo commerciale. In questa magnificia intervista Thomas spiega meglio certi passaggi a noi nascosti, e approfondisce la questione pop asserendo che i Pere Ubu altro non sono che una strada alternativa, non ignorano quello che hanno attorno, piuttosto ci invitano a guardare la realtà da una nuova eccittante prospettiva. Sebbene banale a sentirlo da Thomas si percepisce la profondità di questa consapevolezza, conscio dell'incredibile naturalezza con cui la band filtra la sua interpretazione, la sua manialicà della sua genialità.
