Who knew death and destruction could be so entertaining
I love these podcasts. Extremely funny, especially considering the hard subject matter they deal with. It’s not a theme that you’d think lends itself to a comedy podcast , but they make it work. The guys manage to walk the tightrope of using dark humour to inform us about the both well known and more obscure disasters, without falling into disrespecting the subject matter. Not that all the disasters have ended in death or destruction though and there they can really go for it. I mean this in the best possible way, they know a lot more about the subject than you think they do. There must be a lot of research that goes into each podcast and you can be sure that for all the jokes, the facts are spot on. Well worth your time. Oh and one of the Phils likes trains which is always a plus

More reviews of The CRASH BANG WALLOP Podcast
Found CBWallop through Angela Barnes’ ‘We are History’. Have basically binged listened to all the episodes while I’m home along with the kids back in school & no job to go to. But I love it! Interesting topics, well presented, love the banter between the Phils & learnt a lot. Thank you!!

Loved the old podcast (Ultimate Scrutiny) but this new format just seems to click perfectly. A tongue-in-cheek, lighthearted but ultimately humanitarian view of disasters through history. Fact-heavy, which could make it sound a bit dry but the humour of both, the interplay and the obvious...Read full review »
