Started listening to this around 12 months ago whilst working from home as I was on my own lots. I’ve now listened to all of the N64 episodes and half of the Wii U ones ( I’ve purposely paced myself as I don’t want to run out!!) and I love it. It’s my favourite retro gaming podcast by quite some...Read full review »

They rank every North American N64 game with joy and hilarity. It’s so much fun to listen to them because you can tell they’re having fun. AND, who hasn’t wanted a list like this! You’ve seen the top 10’s, 25’s, shoot, maybe even 100’s Best N64 lists floating around there on the interwebs, but...Read full review »

Wow, The ignorance of these hosts is surprising. Although their content is decent, they alienate a large portion of their potential audience. The first few times I heard them make a disgusting comment about Jesus I ignored it BUT after listening today to one of the hosts talk about Jesus doing...Read full review »

I'm a big fan of retro gaming, and now I am a big fan of this podcast. I love that they don't just review the favorites, but also of lesser known titles. Very informative and insightful. Funny too. Keep up the good work, guys!Read full review »

The only purely political podcast I listen to. I tried Joe Rogan, but he just seemed like so much of a sissy compared to Steve and Woody. Also games are played and ranked.

Absolutely the best N64 podcast of all time. I enjoy it when they review great games (ocarina of time) and I love it when they review terrible games (Superman 64). The hosts and their guests have fantastic chemistry- it reminds me of playing N64 with my best friends. Also, give Steve a follow on...Read full review »

Steve and Woody have managed to create one of my favorite podcasts with Ultra 64. Not only do they cover all of the Nintendo 64’s games in great detail (more than many of them deserve), but they also put forth so much interesting information regarding the origins of the games, the real-world...Read full review »

After years of saying the N64 was the “golden age of gaming,” this podcast has brought to light that most of the consoles catalogue is actually terrible in the most hilarious way possible. Strongly recommend to anyway who was a stubborn Nintendo fan in the N64 era

Just listened in to see your take on my favorite game for the console, Ogre Battle 64, and one of the hosts mentioned Dual Heroes being their worst rated game. So I had to listen to that one because I had got that fighting gem used because my much younger step brother though the characters looked...Read full review »

A fantastic Podcast for anyone with even a passing interest in the history of the Nintendo 64.

Because Jordan Peterson and Joe Rogan bashing is extremely relevant to someone who wants to listen to a review of a 90s action adventure game. See ya and here’s one star.

Loved the politics chit-chat. Pretty funny, well researched, good format. But then you went and injected 1990s Nintendo video games. Why? I listen to this to get away from video games. Nintendoroks ruin everything.

Loved the gaming chit-chat. Pretty funny, well researched, good format. But then you went and injected 2019 SJW politics. Why? I listen to this to get away from politics. Leftists ruin everything.

I was on a nostalgic search on YouTube for a bunch of Banjo Kazooie videos and realized that I needed to subscribe to a podcast that goes over N64 games. This happened to be the first to pop up so I checked out a very old episode and liked it. As a podcaster I’m aware that quality gets better...Read full review »

I really love the N64, and this podcast does a fantastic job of talking about games and trivia. The short coming of this show is that about 60% of each episode is spent off topic, with little direction. Still fun, but I would love to hear more subject matter.
omnidaichi via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 07/03/19
I really don’t like that it does the “there’s no obvious button for this!” sort of thing when you can go to the options and just see the controls, which is something dumb that affects almost every retro game podcast. I know these games are rarely ever played on original hardware and no one has a...Read full review »

I was brought here by an ad on The Flop House, and I'm very glad that I did. Steve & Woody are funny, amiable hosts who do an admirable amount of homework for every episode. If the N64 was one of your consoles growing up this is a great podcast to listen. To. From the classics to obscure, Steve and Woody do a good job of going into trivia about whatever the game is about and a good review of the game itself.

I love the weekly trip down memory lane even if I learn most of my favorites growing up are not as good as I remember.

In honor of Pride 2019 and Zelda, Woody and Steve are gay icons despite not loving Harvest Moon 64. Every Saturday it’s a TREAT to recall my favorite console of all time.

This show is one of my favorite podcasts. I love the internet because you can find people who like the same things you do. I went back through every episode and I can’t recommend it enough.

I really like the show, I love the trivia fun facts and the hosts are energetic and fun to listen to, my only issue is how unnecessarily political it gets once every other episode. I just want to talk about video games I really don’t care what they think about Trump.

Ultra 64 is silly, humorous and insightful! It's great to tune in week to week and listen to Steve and Woody discuss the merits (or foibles) of the entire N64 catalouge. These guys are really great. I love the genuine effort to love the games and the love of video game culture. I think there could be some more optimization for the audio to sound a little better — but it’s getting better. I expect to upgrade this to a 5.

So many Nintendo 64 games I wanted to play and never got to, but Steve has a complete collection and is making the Herculean effort to play them all! So you think that the idea of reviewing N64 games is too narrow of a scope and too old a subject? I dig this concept for a podcast. The hosts talk about a random n64 game they just played, what they liked or didn't like. The Nintendo 64 is where my love for video games really took hold and I can’t begin to explain how great it is to go back and revisit the flops and the classics with a couple of guys that love the system as much as I do.

I started listening to this podcast by only listening to the games I’ve played. After a couple of those I realized that this podcast is much more than just a nostalgia trip. I am perhaps a little biased as I am one of the hosts of the show. But is there another podcast out there that covers every single Nintendo 64 game in depth? There is not.
