Crime Insiders 7. August 23
Att: Brent Sanders Disgraceful interview with Chris Coster by Brent Sanders. He obviously did not do his due diligence in reference to Coster and his time at the academy. Coster was found guilty of bullying and bastardisation and also of inappropriate behaviour with a particular female recruit. This recruit was taken to his private residence to participate in what he called “role play”. The whole system was investigated by ESD and Coster, along with Paul Aarons, were moved from the academy for their unprofessional and appallingly inappropriate behaviour towards recruits. The Age newspaper also did an article on the behaviour that was occurring at the Academy by senior officers and the effect it had on the mental health and wellbeing of recruits. I can provide any amount of evidence required to prove my statements. Letters from ESD, the Chief Commissioner and the Ombudsman saying that the treatment our son was subjected to was criminal and would meet the necessary standards to initiate a case for compensation. Out of goodwill and and a sense of common decency on our part we decided that the perpetrators of these crimes had been disciplined and moved out of the Academy which was enough for us. Coster and Paul Aarons were disciplined by ESD and by the Chief Commissioner, Christine Nixon, for their borderline criminal behaviour and for bringing the force into disrepute. You need to ensure that whoever is doing your research is thorough in their research. Listening to this liar and bully talk about his time at the Academy has brought back everything that not only our son but so many others went through during Coster’s tenure. You need to be better, much better and an apology would be a good place to start. Heather McGuinness Ph: 0423 523 562

Another great series from Understate and Adam Shand. For new listeners, take a listen to earlier Adam Shand podcasts as they provide a good background to this case. Very interesting and shady character, makes me think we only a very small amount of what really happened over the years of the...Read full review »
