Radiolab Rip-off
This podcast is a rip-off of Radiolab in tone, style, pace, story telling and concept. I can imagine that as they pitched it and wrote it, they listened to countless episodes of Radiolab in an attempt to plagiarize it as convincingly as possible. The voice talent may mimic the affable style of Radiolab, but it’s clearly inauthentic. Still, it’s a quality knock-off, so perhaps worthwhile to listen to, if you can get past the audacity! It’s just shameless and embarrassing, but imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Even the credits are an insincere clone of Radiolab’s. At a minimum they should credit Radiolab as their creative inspiration at the end of every episode. Maybe the show will mature into its own, but maybe Vox is a soulless, hypocritical media empire and they’ll happily repackage public radio and commodify it for their gain.

Interesting topics & strong start. Format not great: presenter plus experts plus what? Another person not really co-presenter but constantly cutting in. Annoying really
